We are proud to be a Certifying Organization authorized to certify volunteers’ eligibility for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) and order awards on their behalf! This prestigious award recognizes individuals who make a significant impact through their volunteer service.
How It Works:
- Participate in Our Activities: To qualify for the PVSA, simply attend and engage in our organization’s activities.
- Track Your Service Hours: We will document your volunteer hours and contributions, which will be used to determine your eligibility for the award.
Who Can Apply:
Individuals of all ages who volunteer with us can apply for this honor, provided they
meet the required service hour thresholds.
Eligible Service:
- Unpaid acts of volunteer service benefitting others
- Service through National service programs that provide a stipend (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) may count towards the Lifetime Achievement Award, but not for the annual Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards)
- Travel stipends, transit/parking passes, membership passes, expense reimbursements, and other nominal volunteer support do not impact service eligibility
Ineligible Services
- Donating funds
- Political lobbying (Non-partisan voter registration is an eligible activity)
- Religious instruction
- Conducting worship service
- Proselytizing
- Volunteer service performed as part of court-ordered community service
- Serving only family members
